Days Before Launch New BMW G310 GS Revealed: PICS

Official 2021 BMW G310 GS BS6 pics have been circulated by the company ahead of its already confirmed launch date. And there are not a lot of changes…

German automotive manufacturer – BMW Motorrad will finally be launching the BS6 versions of the G310 R and G310 GS on October 8. The first set of updated motorcycles recently rolled out of the TVS Motors’ assembly line in Hosur, and these very bikes will be in the customers’ hands in a few days time as the bookings have already begun from last month.

But before its launch, BMW has shot in some pictures of the updated G310 GS that reveal the motorcycle completely.

The BS6 iteration of the motorcycle gets minor cosmetic changes – starting from slightly redesigned tank extensions and the new all-LED lighting package, including the headlight, tail-light, and turn-indicators.

The pictures also reveal the bike’s all-digital instrument cluster. This means that it is NOT getting the colored TFT screen that it was speculated to get. The G310 GS also gets a semi-exposed red-colored trellis frame like its sibling Apache RR 310.

The new GS features ride-by-wire throttle but misses out on Bluetooth connectivity. It gets a six-speed transmission set up to power the 312 cc liquid-cooled, BS6 engine that produced 34 bhp of peak power and 28 Nm torque in its BS4 guise. Will there be any tuning difference – that remains to be seen.

The motorcycle will be available in a new ‘Rallye’ paint scheme comprising blue, silver, and black with some red highlights. It will also be available in Plain Polar White and a ’40 Years GS’ edition.

While there is no word yet on the motorcycle’s pricing, there are some rumors out there that claim that the BS6 version of the bike may cost lesser. For the unknowns, the BS4 version of the motorcycle retailed at Rs. 3.49 Lakh (ex-showroom price). Once launched, it will take the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan and KTM Adventure 390 head-on.
