2020 Scooty Zest price has gone higher by 14 percent. It has gained torque but weight is also significantly up..
There have been very significant price increments due to Bharat Stage 6 emission norms, specially on the entry level motorcycles and scooters since they have shifted from carburetors to fuel injection. To shield and present lower numbers to the media, manufacturers are sending masked and unclear press releases.
Honda is at the forefront of this and TVS also shied away by not releasing the price of the higher variant of the Scooty Zest Matte Series in its press release. It highlighted ex-showroom Chennai price because it is lower than the generic norm – ex-showroom Delhi prices.
Anyway, the prices and specs have been updated at the official website and here we list them for you.
Scooty Zest BS6 Price
|Scooty Zest Himalayan Highs||Rs 59,925|
|Scooty Zest Matte Series||Rs 61,425|
The Delhi price for the Himalayan Highs variant is Rs 1465 costlier than its Chennai price. In comparison, the ex-Delhi price of the BS4 Zest was Rs 52,525 and Rs 54,025 which means the hike has been Rs 7400 or a very significant 14 percent in this transition!
The updated scooter has gained torque and lost a wee bit of power. You can read the engine specs in this launch article. But what is noteworthy is that the new Zest now weighs 103 kg which is 6 kilos higher than before.
