The new Scooty Zest BS6 price hike is around 13 percent; TVS claims increase in fuel efficiency, and overall performance…
As promised earlier, TVS has announced the official launch of its popular Scooty Zest in an updated avatar. The 2020 Zest gets Bharat Stage 6 compliant which has meant a switch to (Ecothrust) fuel injection.
The 110cc engine now produces 5.75 KW (7.82 PS) of peak power and 8.8 Nm of max torque. For reference, the older Scooty Zest churned 5.88 KW (8 PS) of max power (at 7500 rpm) and 8.4 Nm of peak torque (at 5500 rpm). This means that though power has gone down marginally (by 0.18 PS), torque has seen 0.4 Nm increment.
TVS says that the BS6 version offers ‘significant‘ improvement in mileage and performance, however, no numbers are shared. It continues with the same styling with minor changes to the colors or graphics.
