Ntorq BS6 latest prices see an increment of upto Rs 2000 within a matter of few weeks; effective BS6 hike is over 10 percent…
TVS’ stellar seller in the 125cc segment is its flagship scooter in India – Ntorq and the company promotes it as a sports-based offering.
The BS6 variant produces 6.9 kw (9.38 PS) of peak power at 7000 rpm and 10.5 Nm of max torque at 5500 rpm from the same 124.8 cc, 3 valve engine. In comparison, the older Ntorq produced the same power but it now peaks 500 rpm earlier; torque remains unchanged. The big change was the introduction of fuel injection in place of a carburetor for compliance.
TVS has been expanding the lineup with new variant offerings every now and then.
In a latest, the maker has increased the prices of all the variants, again. Here is how it stands as compared to the first BS6 prices..
Ntorq BS6 Latest Prices
|Variant||BS6 Price March 20||Latest Price (Aug 21)|
|Ntorq Drum||Rs 65,975||Rs 72,270|
|Ntorq Disc||Rs 69,975||Rs 77.320|
|Ntorq Race Edition||Rs 72,455||Rs 80,325|
The latest price hike is around Rs 2000. And that takes the effective BS6 price increment to upto Rs 7870 within less than 1.5 years. That corresponds to a hike of almost 11 percent.
Remember this is over and above the hike necessitated by BS4 to BS6 conversion. You can check out the last BS4 prices here.
The special Race XP edition that was launched only last month, has also seen a hike of Rs 750. The Supersquad editions are also now costlier!
As has been the trend recently, there is no reason given by the company.
