2020 TVS Ntorq Teased; Launch Soon

2020 Ntorq launch in the coming few days: Apart from cosmetic changes, it is also expected to get new features and probably a BSVI engine…

TVS appears to be refreshing its complete line-up of scooters and motorcycles ahead of this festive season. It started tweaking the entry level motorcycles and through its social channels, it has teased the next ‘new’ product – the 2020 Ntorq 125!

According to the teaser video, Ntorq will wear LED Daytime Running Lights along with LED headlamp which appears to be partitioned in four parts, similar to what we have seen on the Bajaj Dominar. The top two blocks may be for high beam and the lower blocks lighting up for low beam.

We can also see red coloured contrast stickers on what appears to be a new matte black/grey colour on offer. So, two things get confirmed – there will be cosmetic enhancements along with a new colour palette.

We can also expect mechanical changes in the form of a Bharat Stage VI compliant motor. The current Ntorq is one of the sportiest scooters in India. Currently, that 124.7 cc 3-valve motor churns out 9.4 PS of peak power and 10.5 Nm of max torque. What these numbers do not tell you is how involving it is to ride – and this is saying a lot for what essentially is a small engined scooter!

TVS to Make ‘Key Announcements’ on 18-19th Oct

TVS Ntorq and Honda Grazia started their lives around similar time periods. Honda clearly had a commuterish approach and TVS took the gamble and offered a scooter which was sportier and hence compromised a wee bit on utility. However, as it stands today, Ntorq is doing almost double the sales numbers of Grazia!
