SPIED: 2020 Apache 310 BS6 Spotted Testing; Gets New Console

2020 Apache 310 BS6 pics suggest changes to the colour palette as well. It appears new cluster will be 390 Duke-like feature rich.

TVS has bifurcated its Apache range into – RTR series which includes the Apache 160 (both 2V and 4V), Apache 180 and Apache 200 and the RR which currently has the Apache 310 as the sole model. The RTR 4 valve range was recently updated with the upcoming Bharat Stage VI compliance and we have the confirmation that the older 2 valve versions will also get this update (details).

In a latest, the 2020 Apache 310 has been spotted testing somewhere. In the unclear spy pics we have, the test mule is sported wearing dual-tone shade of grey and black with red stickers. But the bigger difference is that new instrumentation console. In place of the vertical digital cluster of the current model, this 2020 version is sporting a slightly bigger unit which may be an LCD display like the 390 Duke.

Since the smaller Apache 200 has received TVS’ SmartXonnect, it is absolutely logical to expect the Apache 310 to sport a Bluetooth smartphone compatible console. And like the streetfighter Apache, the flagship Apache should also display navigation on the screen.

Most motorcycles have seen power/torque drops during this transition to Bharat Stage VI. What will the impact be on this new Apache remains to be seen. For reference, it currently produces 34 PS of peak power at 9700 rpm and 27.3 Nm of max torque at 7700 rpm from its 4-valve, liquid cooled, reverse inclined 312.2 cc engine.

New Apache 200 SmartXonnect: Six Interesting Features

One top TVS official, in a casual chat, with us at the recently conducted media ride of the BS6 Apaches revealed that they wanted to conduct ‘some’ event around 20th December but Yamaha (and a few other car companies) has already booked that media slot. Chances are that the launch of this new 2020 Apache 310 would be soon.
