TVS has officially launched its new 2020 Apache RR 310 in India. Apart from the mandatory Bharat Stage 6 compliant engine, the motorcycle also gets many interesting features in the package.

The new 310 BS6 continues with the same 312.2 cc liquid cooled engine which produces a max power output of 34 PS at 9700 rpm and 27.3 Nm of peak torque. There are five major changes on the new motorcycle. Here is a quick list.

Ride Modes – The new Apache 310 BS6 comes with four riding modes – Urban, Track, Rain and Sport. Power delivery, engine braking etc get altered in all these modes. All of them can be changed on the fly (ie while in motion) but just releasing the throttle.

Multi-Information Instrument Cluster – A part of the package is a 5 inch coloured display. It can also be paired with your smartphone via TVS’ SmartXonnect and it can now show a host of information including turn-by turn navigation, call/sms assist, etc.

New Tyres – In place of Pirellis of the older Apaches, the new 310 is equipped with Michelin Road 5 tyres. TVS informs that these will last longer and will have better cornering grip at the same time.

Throttle by Wire – The throttle now connects electronically in place of the conventional throttle cable.

GTT+ – First introduced on the 2020 Apache 160 4V and 200, the newly developed Glide Through Traffic tech has gone onto the biggest Apache as well and with a ‘+’ sign which means it will be more advanced than what the smaller versions get.

This is an increment of roughly Rs 12,000 over the price of the older motorcycle. Unlike the differences based on states of the older version, this is a pan-India price which means TVS has adopted a ‘one price’ policy for its biggest Apache.
