2020 Apache 200 BS6 Launched at 1.24 Lakh; Gets GTT, LED Headlamps

2020 Apache 200 BS6 price is roughly 10,000 more than the equivalent BS4 variant. But it comes with many new features to justify the premium…

TVS has officially announced the launch of its first Bharat Stage VI motorcycles in India. First up is the Apache 200 which also becomes the first motorcycle in the segment to become BS6 compliant. Along with the emission adherence, TVS has also plonked in new features into the motorcycle.

The 2020 Apache 200 comes with a refreshed headlamp which houses LED lamp and ‘claw-styled‘ position lamps. TVS also claims that the new Apache 200 offers best-in-class light throw and has a widespread beam.

It is equipped with the same 197.75 cc, single cylinder 4-valve, oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine which produces 20.5 PS of peak power at 8500 rpm and 16.8 Nm of max torque at 7500 rpm. Though the power figures are identical, torque is down from 18.10 Nm the BS4 model produces. It continues with the same 5-speed gearbox.

TVS also informs that it has incorporated a new GTT mode (stands for ‘Glide Through Traffic’) which, it says, helps in low speed city traffic riding. Among other features, it is now equipped with ‘feather touch’ start, wave bite ignition key, claw mirrors (which are also aerodynamic), etc.
