2020 Apache 160 BS6 price hike ranges between ~Rs 3000 to Rs 8000 depending on the variant. But it more than compensates with many new features…
Along with the new Apache 200, TVS has also updated its Apache 160 with Bharat Stage VI compliance. And like with the elder sibling, it also gets many new features.
The 2020 Apache 160 4V continues with the same 4-valve, oil-cooled, 159.7cc, fuel injected engine which pumps out 16.02 PS of max power at 8250 rpm and 14.12 Nm of peak torque at 7250 rpm. For reference, the current BS4 version produces higher 16.80 PS and 14.80 Nm. 5-speed gearbox continues to perform duties.
The new Apache now sports a refreshed headlamp design with claw-styled position lamps and houses LED main lamp which is claimed to offer class leading light penetration along with a wider coverage. There is a new GTT (Glide Through Traffic) feature which helps in low speed city traffic riding.
It also gets new dual tone seat, feather touch start, wave bite ignition key, aerodynamic claw shaped mirrors, etc. As compared to the new Apache 200 BS6 (launch story here), it misses out on the SmartXonnect instrument cluster and dual channel ABS system.

The price increase for the drum brake variant is ~Rs 8000 but the new one is equipped with fuel injection. The increment for the disc brake trim is roughly Rs 3000.
The motorcycle is being offered in three colours – Racing Red, Knight Black and Metallic Blue. Bookings have commenced from today across all TVS dealerships and deliveries are expected to commence soon.
