Yamaha R15 ABS Launched at 1.39 Lakh; Gets New Colour & 3 Changes

2019 Yamaha R15 ABS price has seen an increment of Rs 12,000 over the non-ABS variant. We list all the differences that the new model adorns…

As was in the news, Yamaha has officially launched the 2019 R15 v3 ABS in India. This makes the impeccable motorcycle a complete package as Yamaha has plugged the only big con of the sportster.

Let us quickly list all the changes it comes with…

2019 R15 v3 Changes

  • Antilock Braking System – The motorcycle gets a comprehensive dual-channel ABS which works on both the wheels. Many motorcycles around this price tag, like Pulsar RS200 and others, are offered only with a single-channel ABS system which works only on one wheel (generally the front).
  • New Colour – The 2019 version also gets a new colour called as Darknight which is the matte finished black shade we have often seen on other Yamahas. The other two colours – Thunder Grey and Racing Blue, continue to be on offer.
  • Weight – Due to the introduction of ABS, weight of the motorcycle has increased by 3 kilograms. Instead of the earlier 139 kg of weight, it now tips the scale at 142 kg curb (including full oil and fuel tank).
  • Warning Light – The digital console also now gets a working LED ABS warning light.
