2018 Gixxer price remains unchanged; gets new colour and refreshed decals…
At the Auto Expo 2018, among the new introductions like Burgman Street, India-made GSX S750 etc, Suzuki also kept on display the 2018 range of Gixxers. And today they have been officially launched in India.
The model year 2018 Gixxer and Gixxer SF only get minor cosmetic add-ons and continue to be mechanically untouched. The naked Gixxer gets a new Candy Sonoma Red/Metallic Sonic Silver colour in addition to the existing Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Matt Black. Though Suzuki has not specifically clarified, but the Pearl Mira Red/Glass Sparkle Black in the range has been discontinued.
Apart from the new Candy Sonoma Red/Metallic Sonic Silver colour, the 2018 Gixxer SF gets fresher graphics and the ‘ECSTAR’ logo (on the Metallic Triton Blue colour). The Glass Sparkle Black continues and Pearl Mira Red (which was offered on the non-ABS version only) has been discontinued.
Both the motorcycles continue to produce 14.8 PS of peak power at 8000 rpm and 14 Nm of maximum torque at 6000 rpm from the 154.9 cc SOHC, air-cooled engine. The carburetor-equipped versions are offered with kick as well as an electric starter, however the Gixxer SF FI only comes with an electric start option. The faired Gixxer also has an ABS-equipped version.

These are the starting prices of respective Gixxer models and they have remain unchanged. We are also seeking another clarification – whether the rear drum version Gixxer has been discontinued? We will update the story once we have a clear word on this from the company.

Suzuki also informs that dispatches of the 2018 Gixxers from the factory have commenced and they will be available across all Suzuki dealerships in the country.
