Bajaj recently showcased the 2017 Pulsar RS200 at a dealer-level event in Turkey (link to story) which had given us ample hints that the motorcycle, with minor improvements, new colour themes and upgrade to BS4, is being worked upon and will be introduced in our domestic market as well.

As was shared by earlier reports, in an official communication which has landed in our mailboxes moments back, along with the new Pulsar NS200, the 2017 Pulsar RS200 has also been launched in India.

As per the press release, the motorcycle doesn’t get many changes apart from its looks. Which means that it continues to be powered by the same 199.5 cc SOHC, 4-valve liquid cooled fuel injected engine capable of churning out 24.5 PS of peak power at 9750 rpm and 18.6 Nm of max torque at 8000 rpm, and has a claimed top speed of 141 kmph.

2017 Pulsar RS200 Colours

There are two new colours on offer –

  1. Racing blue
  2. Graphite Black

Going by the language used by Bajaj, the older colours – yellow, black and red, will be discontinued.

Prior to its launch, Pulsar RS200 in blue was spotted multiple times in Turkey and its Indian entry was anticipated.

This is the blue-white Pulsar RS200 showcased in Turkey in 2015. It is different from the new racing blue theme of the 2017 RS200

The blue combination clubbed with white looks beautiful and would probably be the better seller out of the two!
