These 2-wheeler ambulances will be extremely helpful for quick responses in rural areas. They come equipped with necessary medical kit…
Late last month, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp announced 100 crore aid towards the devastating COVID-19 pandemic relief. This is one of the highest contributions by a two-wheeler manufacturer in India towards this noble cause.
Half of this is earmarked for the PM CARES Fund whereas the rest of it will be utilized for various other relief works. As a part of this initiative, Hero is donating first-responder mobile ambulances to various authorities in India. In all 60 such units will be developed.
The one you see on your screen is based on the Xtreme 200R with custom-built accessory – which includes essential medical kit like oxygen cylinder, siren, fire extinguisher, first aid box along with sleeping arrangement for one person.
Such a small sized ambulance will be extremely helpful in reaching out patients in rural and remote areas and transporting them to the nearest hospitals. In fact, this concept could be very useful even in the most congested areas of urban spaces.
Apart from the Xtreme 200R, Hero says that this line-up of mobile ambulances will include other motorcycles as well and they will all have engine capacities of 150cc and higher.
Hero is at the forefront of this battle against this highly contagious Coronavirus disease which has impacted each and every household and business in the country (and the world). The company is also distributing 15,000 meals to daily wage workers and homeless families in various areas such as Rajasthan, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, etc.
