Hero Group Announces 100 Crore Aid for COVID-19 Relief

Hero’s contribution to Coronavirus relief will include partial fund to be donated in the PM Cares fund with the rest being used by the group companies to offer on-ground help!

After Bajaj, TVS and others, Hero Group has also announced a major aid for the Coronavirus Pandemic relief. Hero MotoCorp, along with its family companies, Hero FinCorp, Hero Future Energies, Rockman Industries and Hero Electronix will jointly spend Rs 100 crores contributing to the ongoing relief efforts in the country.

These 100 crores have been divided in two parts. One part of 50 crores will go to the PM CARES Fund and the remaining 50 crores will be utilized in relief efforts.

BML Munjal University at Dharuhera in Haryana, has offered a 2000 bed hostel for use as an isolation and treatment ward. Hero Future Energies is distributing food items and hygiene kits in 150 villages near its project sites.

Hero FinCorp will offer subsidized product to customers impacted by COVID-19. This will help small businesses with working capital. The SME product will help them to stabilize their cash and restart businesses. There may be relaxations in repayment as well.

The flagship Hero MotoCorp plans to distribute preventive equipment like masks, sanitizers and gloves along with 100 ventilators to hospitals and health departments. Hero will also donate 60 modified motorcycle ambulances to enable health departments in relief works in rural areas.

Now TVS Announces 30 Crore Aid to Fight COVID-19

Hero also informs that it is already distributing 10,000 safely cooked and hygienic meals to daily wage workers in different areas of Delhi, NCR, Haryana, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and few other states. Apart from this, the company is also offering food packets at shelter homes in various places.
