Bajaj Announces Rs 100 Cr Aid to Fight Coronavirus

After the slew of measures announced by the Indian Government, corporates are standing up and coming forward in this fight against the deadly Coronavirus which has plagued the whole world. As India lives in lockdown, Bajaj Group has announced a Rs 100 crore aid for the fight against COVID-19.

This amount will be divided in various verticals and will be utilized for the welfare of our citizens. Bajaj says, a part of this will be used to support the upgradation of key healthcare infrastructure in Pune. It will be spent in upgrading ICUs, procuring additional equipment like ventilators, personal protection items, enhancing testing and setting up of isolation units in Government and few private sector hospitals.

A big part of this aid will go for food and shelter to the daily wage workers and homeless families. Bajaj pledges to support various initiatives on food supply, access to sanitation and healthcare.

Bajaj also says that it will utilize these funds in rural care and livelihood aid. It will also partner towards creating awareness on COVID-19 and strengthening health infrastructure in rural areas.

Bajaj Group says it will work with the Government along with a network of 200+ NGO partners to ensure that these resources reach the most needy. These are unprecedented times and the company intends to make a positive difference to the society.
