Yamaha Launches Special Battle Green FZ-S and Fazer Editions

by Saad on August 8, 2013

Just before the festive season, Yamaha has yet again launched new variants of their flagship bikes, FZ-S and Fazer. FZ and Fazer have been the company’s mainstays in terms of sales ever since they were launched in 2008.

The new edition of these bikes are launched in new battle green color along with yellow colored complementing graphics. From the pics that Yamaha has shared, the silencer cover as well as the rear grab rail carry the green color themes apart from the front mudguard and fairing extension.

These are just cosmetically enhanced editions and there are no mechanical changes done to these bikes. Both FZ-S and Fazer are powered by a 153cc air cooled single cylinder engine that pumps out 14bhp of peak power at 7500rpm and a maximum torque of 13.6Nm at 6000rpm. The company says that they will promote the new special editions aggressively via TV/Print and web.

FZ-S-Battle-Green

Yamaha Special Edition Battle Green Color FZ-S & Fazer Price (Ex-Showroom Delhi)

  • Yamaha FZ-S Battle Green: Rs 74,385
  • Yamaha Fazer Battle Green: Rs 79,485

With the inclusion of this new color, Fazer and FZ-S are available in the following color options:

Fazer:

  1. Battle Green (New)
  2. Streak Red
  3. Milestone Black
  4. Rising Red
  5. Getaway Blue

FZ-S:

  1. Battle Green (New)
  2. Mean Green
  3. Fearless Black
  4. Glory Gold
  5. Raging Red
  6. Tempest Blue

It is through these regular cosmetically enhanced special editions, Yamaha continues to add newness and freshness to their FZ series of motorcycles. But we urge Yamaha to launch the long time speculated 250cc that has been a point of real interest among the motorcycling enthusiasts in the country.

I think yamaha should think beyond FZ and Faser series. They should stop launching spacial edition bikes…. come on yamaha you can do it.

Hey guys i am in the verge of buying a bike this month. My budget is around80000-85000 not beyond that. i have shortlisted 3 bikes RTR(160,180 either one) Fzs, Fazer. Not interested in pulsar(150,180) as got mixed reviews that their engines really sucks after 1-1.5 yrs. My daily usage is around 50 km per day. So depending on this guys please give me ur valuable suggestion about which one to go. If any other bike lies within the budget please let me know.

hey first of all m no specialist.
i would say if u intend on buying fz ot fzs then u have to deal with 35kmpl mileage.other than that yamaha will give you no problem.
rtr is good but its engines quality will degrade after sometime time.

not fz still turns more heads as compared to rtr. my friend has fz for 3 years and he never doubts his choice except for mileage .

You may choose FZ rather without any hesitation. I m having a Fazer Jan 2011 n getting 42kmpl mileage. Never dare to think that i drive like splendour, all my frnnds says i make rash driving. But prefer FZ rather than Fazer

HI,
I have ridden all your short listed bikes. Considering your 50km/day travel I would suggest you to buy an FZ or Fazer as they are good for long rides but the mileage is a downfall, like Nitesh said 35-40kmpl. Coming to the Apache, even though it has a punchy engine I found the handle a bit uncomfortable and I believe its the same with the Pulsar 180 (haven’t tried the new one with the two-piece handle bars).Pulsars are reliable if you ride like a sane person and keep the engine serviced properly. I own a Bajaj Avenger 180 and I used to ride 120 kms everyday and she still goes strong.
There are other motorcyles like Honda CB Trigger, Dazzler etc which you have to take a closer look on.
Ride responsibly and always wear helmet :)
cheers!

Common Yamaha you can do more, this is just minor and nothing what you expect from Yamaha. How many times will colours change?

They might have got an advice from Hero (Refreshed CBZ, Hunk, Karizma, Splendor, passon etc etc) and Bajaj (Pulsars and discovers)

It is high time for Yamaha to upgrade their FZ and Fazer motorcycles, even though they are good looking it is a bit too old in their tooth now.
And please stop the silly Hero-Honda kind of sticker and paint upgrades… :)
