BMW F 450 GS Launch Price Rs 4.70 Lakh in India

The F 450 GS comes loaded with multiple advanced features while powered by a new 420cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine

BMW F 450 GS has finally been launched in the Indian market in a price range of Rs 4.70-5.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Offered in three variants namely Base, Exclusive and GS Trophy, it can be booked at the BMW Motorrad India dealerships with first deliveries promised from June 2026. The twin-cylinder adventure motorcycle will be locally produced at TVS factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu while it has been developed in Germany. The F 450 GS will rival Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure and Kawasaki Ninja 500 in India.

Sitting on a a welded tubular steel frame with integrated forged parts, BMW F 450 GS adorns the iconic ‘GS’ design philosophy with peculiar styling elements such as the ‘X’ shaped full LED headlight, front beak, split-seat setup, tapered aluminum handlebar and body-coloured side panels. The fuel tank capacity stands at 14 litres while the standard saddle height is pegged at 845 mm.

The Base and Exclusive variants are available in Cosmic Black Color scheme while the GS Trophy variant is presented in Racing Blue Metallic with accents in red and white. The range-topping GS Trophy trim flaunts the tank center cover in Snaefell white paint shade while all the other variants have it in matt black colour scheme. Riding on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear lightweight aluminum wheels, the F 450 GS has been fitted with tubeless tires.

The stopping power comes from a floating single-disc front unit and a single disc rear brake. The suspension duties are helmed by USD front forks and double-armed rear swinging arm with progressive damping. BMW F 450 GS is equipped with a first-in-segment Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) along with Shift Assistant Pro, which ensures seamless upshifts and downshifts. The USB-C socket, heated grips and adjustable hand levers are also a part of the feature list.

BMW F 450 GS comes with four ride modes namely Rain, Road, Enduro and Enduro Pro. Just so you know, the Enduro Pro is specifically designed for off-roading as wheelie control and rear wheel ABS are deactivated in this mode. Some of the notable safety equipment onboard the ADV bike are ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control, Dynamic Traction Control and Engine Drag Torque Control. A special mention goes to the 6.5-inch TFT display with multicontroller which gets ‘Pure Ride Screen’ and ‘Sport Screen’ displays.

At the heart, the F 450 GS houses the newly developed 420cc twin-cylinder inline engine which generates top power of 47 bhp at 8750 rpm and highest torque of 43 Nm at 6750 rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox. BMW Motorrad is offering a wide range of accessories with the F 450 GS, including protection parts, luggage parts and navigation equipment.
