Official Press Release: Bangalore International Auto Expo 2009 (BIAE’ 09) is the gateway to the South-Indian Automobile Industry. It is the largest international auto event hosted in South India which will showcase the best of the Indian Automobile industry.
BIAE’ 09 will be held at Palace Grounds, Bangalore from 9th to 11th of January, 2009. It is an international base with all-inclusive objectives for the south Automobiles Indian market. It will be a lively and popular international automotive event that is delivered on par with international standards
Over 500 exhibitors will be displaying the design and technology of their products to over 5,000 delegates and 1,00,000 auto enthusiasts from across the south in this exhibition. It will also present exclusive pavilions dedicated to automotive components and accessories Industry. All this is complimented with forums, seminars and workshops on the current & future trends in the industry.

Hi everybody, I had visited the expo on 09th, yamaha had come up in a very big way with R1, R15, MT01, and ofcourse the gladiator and the 100c.c bike the alba. But bad news no, Hero Honda, Honda, and Bajaj stalls were there, and when enquired, the officials of the expo, they told that all the trucks are caught in the truck strike, so no possibilities of the rest to display their models. And ofcourse TVS had their own stall with Apache RTR Fi, and the new scooty. And another big attraction is the Suzuki with their Hayabusa and the newly launched GS150, and the Zeus. But nothing great from the bike department, except the beautiful models of yamaha bikes, supported by their sexy female models. And Iam planning to go again on 11th, with my digital camera ofcourse, to catch the excitement, hope atleast some new bike models will be displayed and I promise to post some to the snaps taken by me pretty soon.
Hi Mylanand, I am in Bangalore right now. Tomorrow (11th) I will be there on the expo. Look for me… I would be in white shirt and blue jeans… and with a sony digicam in my hand.
hey, did Yamaha showcase the R1 2008 model or the 2009 model??
and is this expo of Delhi or the one going on in banglore???

It was a 2008 model Daksh. I am a bit disappointed about the Bangalore expo. The stalls and setup are pathetic and the sales people do not respond well. They are not even allowing us to touch the bikes. All the bikes here are existing models in the market only. There is no Fazer 250 and new Gladiator nor TVS Isotope and Predator. I guess they are out there in Delhi.
Tomorrow I will visit them again early morning and take lots of pictures. I may post them only day after tomorrow.
well, as far as the touching of bikes is corned, thats actaullya good thing to do..
