Yamaha India has updated their recently launched 125 cc motorcycle, Saluto with a front disc brake and new graphics and paint scheme. The disc brake variant costs Rs 54,500 which is Rs 2,500 more than the standard variant. Launched in April this year, Saluto is Yamaha’s attempt to fight back in the declining 125cc segment, against rivals like Shine and others.
The mechanicals remain the same, with the 125 cc Blue Core unit producing 8.3 PS of maximum power at 7,000 rpm and 10.1 Nm of peak torque at 4,500 rpm. The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer claims that the bike, at 113 kilos, is the lightest in its class and gets a fuel efficiency rating of 78 kmpl!
New Saluto Color Options
Saluto will now be available in four new colours:
- Glory Green
- Bold Blue
- Dashing White
- Majestic Red
Saluto may seem to be one of the least powerful motorcycles available in the segment but it is fairly impressive as a cummuter. We have recently tested the bike (review coming up soon) and have decent views about it…
