New Yamaha XSR125 gets better Metzeler tyres and new paint work… No news of it coming to our country anytime soon…
So, Yamaha have introduced the 2022 version of XSR125 Legacy Edition roadster for the European region. It will be available from June 2022 onwards.
For the 2022 version, the retro roadster sports new paint scheme, spoked-wheels with Gold coloured rims covered in Metzeler Karoo tyres. The Gold coloured rims are the newest addition as the previous version sported Black coloured alloys.
Yamaha says that the introduction of spoked-wheels along with a redesigned muffler design gives the XSR125 roadster a retro feel and aesthetic. The Metzeler Karoo tyres, which have a block tread-pattern, also adds to the retro roadster charm of the motorcycle.
The new XSR125 retro roadster is powered by Yamaha’s 125 cc, single-cylinder, liquid cooled engine that produces 14.8 HP at 10,000 RPM and 11.5 Nm of torque at 8,000 RPM. This is the very same power-unit that powers the MT125 as well.

Yamaha is also offering a range of various accessories for the retro roadster including an Akrapovic exhaust which will give the bike a throatier and open exhaust note.
In the European region, the XSR125 will be priced at £4,950 which equates to Rs. 4,92,320/- in our currency. The retro-roadster is a very handsome looking bike but, sadly, will not come to our shores anytime soon.
