“Yamaha SZ tour- Stay ahead” is a one month long tour wherein 20 bikers will ride the Yamaha SZ across 67 states in 17 states over a period of a month i.e. it will last for a month long. Yamaha SZ tour has 20 bikers divided in to two teams of 10 bikers each who will travel across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Orissa, Chattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh over 30 days of time frame. Teams consisting of 10 bikers each started their journey from Delhi and they are required to ride through different states of the country.
Yamaha SZ tour is organized to spread the popularity of Yamaha group across the country amongst both urban and rural groups of India, Mr Yukimine Tsuji- CEO & MD said. Experts say that the journey is a huge advertising campaign of the Yamaha SZ bikes to demonstrate their mileage, comfort seating, performance and others. The tour involves the riders to ride the Yamaha bikes for at least 12000 Kms across the country. Yamaha has also initiated a social cause of road safety. Through this tour, Yamaha wants to spread awareness of road safety with their slogan “Wear helmets while riding- Be safe”.
As a part of its corporate social responsibility, Yamaha initiated the safe riding education program popularly known as Yamaha safe riding science (YSRS). Yamaha says it wants to inculcate the basics of safe riding in Indian youth. Yamaha is doing the tour for its bike advertising and on their way inculcating safety habits amongst people of India.
