Yamaha shared with us a ‘Block your date’ invite mailer for 7th of Jan, however the event was postponed to today and starts at 3:00 pm in Delhi. Needless to say, BikeAdvice will be covering the event and reporting from the venue.
Top officials from Yamaha will be attending the event and include Mr Masaki Asano, Managing Director Yamaha India, Mr Roy Kurian, Vice President Sales & Marketing Yamaha India and Mr Ravinder Singh, Vice President, Strategy Planning Yamaha India.
The next question, however is, what is this event all about?
All that Yamaha has talked in the invite mailer is that they will “unfold an exciting new chapter on its journey in India”
As we have talked earlier, according to one of our sources, at this event Yamaha may launch a scooter which we believe may be the stylish D’elight which is powered by a 114cc single pot petrol engine capable of churning out 7.2PS of peak power and 7.6Nm of maximum torque. It looks retro-contemporary and a true rival to Vespa VX in terms of styling.

On the other hand, today’s event may only be a brand building exercise wherein Yamaha may announce its future plans and the products that it will launch in India in the coming year(s) and a possible confirmation of Yamaha YZF R25 which is awaited like crazy!
However, what is the ‘new chapter’ Yamaha is teasing us with?
