Xtreme 210R launch is very much possible and this concept 2.5R STUNT may have just previewed it at the ongoing EICMA…
At the ongoing EICMA, Hero MotoCorp has, yet again, tried to woo the crowd by showcasing some interesting products. One of them is the 2.5R XTUNT which is a naked streetfighter motorcycle, unveiled as a concept.
Hero hasn’t shared a lot of specifics about the product and have just used some high-sounding phrases like ‘adrenaline-infused urban adventure‘, ‘unapologetic style‘, etc to describe the concept motorcycle. Though it did clarify that the XTunt comes with a Trellis frame, USD forks and adjustable rear monoshock.
Further, the 2.5R XTunt also incorporates active-aero technology as well as Follow-me Drone.
Taking a closer look at the motorcycle and the info that Hero has shared, this appears to be the streetfighter version of the faired Karizma that has recently been introduced in India and there are all the chances that this concept will definitely go to production – just like the 1.R concept of the 2019 EICMA, that went onto become the new Xtreme 160R.
Though that 2.5R prefix may lead us to believe that this is a 250cc concept, I am of the opinion that this is the Xtreme 210R that Hero may already be testing on the roads.
The Xtreme 210R fits the portfolio better than the Xtreme 200R (based on the older Xpulse 200 platform). It is expected to come equipped with the same 210cc, DOHC, liquid cooled engine with Karizma-like outputs of 25.5 PS and 20.4 Nm which would make this one of the most powerful motorcycle in the segment – along with the faired sibling.

Forget about those fat, slick tyres and the futuristic tech this concept comes with, the upcoming Xtreme 210R will get road going rubber along with a practical tail and passenger seat height.
Considering that it will be the naked sibling of the Karizma, expect a price tag of somewhere close to 1.65-1.70 Lac – just under the faired sibling. We have no clue on when will the Xtreme 210R launch take place; we are putting our bets on 2024, may be sometime around June-July!
