Four-cylinder Honda’s CBR 650F, which is assembled in India via CKD route, was launched here in August 2015. Upon its announcement back at the 2014 Auto Expo, it was expected to be the most affordable four cylinder motorcycle for our market but Benelli’s TNT 600i walked away with the title.
And when Honda preferred to keep the 650F very close to the much more powerful Z800 in terms of pricing, enthusiasts were more inclined to lineup at the Kawasaki’s showrooms. Sales performance of both these motorcycles tells the story.
Nonetheless, apart from pricing, CBR 650F is a beautiful motorcycle in all aspects. We rode it a few months back and were impressed by what it had to offer (link to quick review). What more – Honda is clearing off older stocks of the motorcycle and is offering whopping discounts of upto Rs 1 lakh, according to the prices shared by one of our reader and friend.

Discounted on road price includes Rs 77,222 registration charges and Rs 14,714 Insurance charges. So, it is savings of nearly Rs 1 Lakh however, do note that this is applicable only on the 2016 models.
Honda is disposing off the older stock (which is most probably BS3 compliant) following which they may (or may not) introduce the new 2017 edition in India which has more power, is quicker and more importantly louder. 2017 CBR 650F more details & pics.
