Upcoming naked Apache 310 will rival the KTM Dukes and will be the fifth product on the TVS-BMW co-developed 310 platform…
So, TVS is absolutely ready with its second motorcycle based on the 310 platform that it co-developed with German BMW Motorrad. After the fabulous, full faired Apache RR 310, the Chennai based maker has decided to go the streetfighter way. The upcoming motorcycle will be placed in the city naked category and could be called as Apache RTX 310, based on a recent filing by the company.
We very well know that it will be launched on September 6th at an event in Bangkok, Thailand. Ahead of that, TVS has shared a couple of pics of a hidden test mule that is being tested by none other than Sudarshan Venu, the company’s Managing Director. These fresh new pics reveal some details about the upcoming naked.
First up, I get a feeling that – that low-placed headlamp could remind of the supremely beautiful Ducati Streetfighter and in fact the overall design could have some kind of resemblance with the Italian. The RTX 310 will continue with golden colored upside down forks at the front, however, they may not be adjustable.
The alloys are also different and so is the horizontally placed instrument cluster. The RR comes with a vertical TFT and while this naked may also get a colored TFT display, it is expected to have a different placement of various info parameters. It is sure to get Smartphone pairability and related features.

The side blinkers appear to resemble Ronin’s and there is no visor for wind protection – not at least on this test mule. The production version could get a clean pointed tail with number plate housing on the rear tyre hugger. The good thing is that TVS may be carrying over the same, grippy Michelin Road 5 tyres from the RR to the RTX.
So far KTM Dukes have been at the forefront when we talk about affordable entry performance nakeds and quite clearly this new Apache is gunning for that crown. We shall be riding this brand new Apache on the 8th and will share the review once the embargo lifts. We are excited for this.. stay tuned…
