Jawa Goes Aggressive; To Enter 2 New Segments This Fiscal; Plans 7-8 Launches

Upcoming Jawa launches will include fresh new products apart from updates to the existing line-up of motorcycles in the portfolio…

Classic Legends hasn’t had a really good stint in the Indian market so far. What is worrying is that the brand did not come with a new, unheard of name but entered with 2-3 iconic nameplates. And that it had the backing of the very solid Mahindra Group was another icing on the cake. Despite that, things have simply been stuck!

However, it appears that the company is planning to overhaul its strategy and looks desperate to do good in the market. Recently, it launched the bigger Jawa 350 that is said to have much better overall quality as well as character.

It is also conducting service camps that is encompassing bike buyers of the 2019-20 times. The company is changing whatever parts that are rusted free of cost and you are also getting additional 6-12 months warranty. This is a positive step in the right direction and something that should please buyers and restore faith in the company.

Aside that, it appears that the company has planned a product offensive this year. According to an interview to a portal, Ashish Joshi, CEO of Jawa-Yezdi Motorcycles, has revealed that the brand will launch as many as 7-8 products this financial year ie from April 2024 to March 2025.

upcoming Jawa launches
Jawa is trying to fight it out and has introduced the new, bigger Jawa 350 recently…

From the hints that were given, around two of them are expected to be new products – which will enable the company to enter new segments. Rest of them are expected to be updates of the existing motorcycles and probably variants of current models. The first launch of this series can be expected by June-July timeframe.

SPIED: Yezdi AdvenX and Streetfighter Spotted; Custom Jobs or Upcoming Models?

Recently, Classic Legends showcased some interesting motorcycles to its dealers in an event. It is a little confusing if they will be sold as different variants or whether they will be a part of some sort of a customisation program that the company may launch.

Let us hope the company sorts all the management related issues and we hope to see some real good competition in this space…
