Honda is about to be out with its new 125cc Activa within this month of April. The New Activa will sport a marginally larger 124.9cc engine delivering a tiny increase in the power output as compared to the current 110cc.
Zigwheels.com has claimed to have revealed the prices & a few other details of the upcoming scooter. The new scooter will come in two variants; namely, Standard and Deluxe. The bookings are open and one can advance book the Activa 125 at any Honda dealership by depositing an amount of INR 5000.
Activa 125 will differentiate itself from its smaller sibling by new design turn indicator placed down on the front nose cone as against the ones on the Activa 110 where they find a place on the handlebars. The pillion grabrail at the rear of the Activa 125 is also different design in design and appear to be too big!
The ‘Standard’ model Activa 125 brakes through drums (130mm) both wheels and utilizes Honda’s Combined Braking System. The retail price claimed here is about INR 56,000, which is INR 7,000 more than the Activa 110 and about INR 3,000 more than the Honda Aviator.
The ‘Deluxe’ Activa 125 is priced at around INR 61,000 and comes equipped with 190mm disc at the front wheel and drum at the rear. While Zigwheels has not mentioned it clearly, these appear to be on-road prices in Delhi.
The engine powering the new Activa 125 is a new 124.9cc, air-cooled, single cylinder engine tuned for 8.6bhp and 10.12Nm. In comparison, Activa 110 produces 8bhp and 8.74Nm.
Both the variants of Honda Activa 125 are equipped with self start, tubeless tyres, telescopic forks in the front and a monoshock at the rear. The body colours on offer are four – pearl white, black, metallic blue and metallic silver.
