Upcoming Hero electric scooter follows a sporty styling. It will be interesting to see what branding does it use finally…
The forthcoming electric scooter from Hero Electric recently made an appearance during a live stream of the brand’s 10th-anniversary celebration.
As of now, there are no technical specifications or details that are available but we could notice some interesting features about it.
The EV is fitted with a 12-inch wheel and a 10-inch wheel on the front and rear respectively. The rear wheel is without any hub-mount motor. Following the footsteps of the Chetak electric scooter, the upcoming scooter from Hero also deploys a one-sided swingarm.
The scooter has a sleek design. It gets a split and sporty seat.
There are black alloy wheels and telescopic suspension ate the front. Like modern-day electric scooters, Hero’s offering is expected to come with Bluetooth connectivity support, battery status, ride history, etc. So, safely expect a full digital instrument cluster. It may also offer support for fast charging.
Dr Pawan Munjal, Chairman and CEO of Hero Motocorp said that details of the electric scooter will be revealed soon. This looks like Hero’s branded product that it is developing through its own R&D.
Aside this, Hero is also developing a battery swapping technology by joining forces with Gogoro, a Taiwanese electro-mobility brand.
While there are numerous brands that are offering vehicles of different ranges, the EV charging and recharging infrastructure in India is still at a nascent stage. Along with its products, Hero may be the first major manufacturer that may come with a big charging infrastructure.
