TVS has broadened its highest selling scooter – Jupiter’s lineup with the introduction of a new variant – ZX Disc. According to the official website, Jupiter was available in three variants so far – standard, ZX and the top of the line Classic.
All the existing variants come shod with 130 mm drum brakes at both the ends, including the ZX trim. However, the new ZX Disc version adds a disc brake at the front tyre – exact size of which has not been shared.
In addition, the Jupiter ZX Disc also comes equipped with TVS’ ‘i-TOUCHstart’. This technology offers a silent and instant start without any cranking noise. Though, TVS has not revealed the science behind it but it appears to be very similar to Honda’s noiseless ACG Starter motor.
TVS adds that the iTouchstart feature is a maintenance free system and helps in improving battery life. The ZX Disc also gets an all-in-one lock system which operates everything – the ignition, fuel tank cap, seat lock as well as the steering lock from one switch.
