It is most likely TVS Jupiter 125 launch date – a scooter that the company will use to penetrate into Activa 125 and Access’ market share…
TVS is on a product launch spree. As we have already covered, the company is readying a new launch on 7th October in India. We will be riding it tomorrow, but since there is an embargo we will not be allowed to share its details.
But for now, there is a new teaser video that the brand has shared on its social channels. It features what look like two light elements mounted on the front apron of a scooter. Interestingly, there are LED DRLs and side blinkers that may be placed on one single unit.
From the earlier information that we have along with this latest update, we believe this is the new Jupiter 125 that Sudarshan Venu, company’s Joint MD had confirmed. In all probability, it will be marketed under the same branding of ‘Jupiter 125’, however, if TVS has some surprises for us, then it may be termed with something else.

Jupiter 125 is likely to come with a simpler, more acceptable styling than the company’s other 125cc scooter Ntorq. It will definitely share the engine, however, expect slightly commuter-spec tweaks as it will target a different target audience. For reference, the Ntorq churns 9.38 PS of power at 7000 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm.

The Jupiter 110 produces 7.88 PS of power at 7500 rpm and 8.8 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The new Jupiter 125 is likely to stay between these numbers (closer towards the Ntorq though).
The new scoot will try to expand TVS’ customer base in this 125cc scooter segment and will rival Activa 125, Access among others.
