Going by the language used, TVS-BMW’s first electric 2 wheeler is probably already under works and will be unveiled by 2023…
The TVS-BMW partnership, which started in the year 2013, has yielded some very interesting models over the years such as the premium G310R and G310GS from the German side and the much loved sport Apache RR 310 from the Indian maker.
And while work on this platform will continue to grow with more models, TVS and BMW have announced extension of their partnership and will also now work on future technologies and electric vehicles.
An official statement has been released by TVS regarding this development. It has announced that their first all-new product will be revealed in the next 24 months. Their statement also highlights that they have already identified ‘a range of products and technologies to deliver significant business benefits.’
Moving forward in the partnership, TVS-BMW will focus on the joint development of new platforms and future technologies, with special emphasis on Electric Vehicles (EVs). TVS Motor Company will focus on the design and development of future BMW Motorrad products and promises to deliver world-class quality, supply-chain management and industrialisation.
Regarding the partnership, TVS Motor Company’s JMD – Mr. Sudarshan Venu – said,

He further adds that the partnership will expand to work on electric vehicles and other new platforms that will be sold in the global markets which will greatly benefit both the companies.
TVS is getting very aggressive in the electric vehicle domain and will also sell products under its own moniker. It already has the iQube electric scooter in the market.
