TVS Appoints New Distributor & Assembler in Colombia

TVS has set out to be an international player. Apart from acquiring the iconic Brit maker Norton Motorcycles, it is expanding its presence in many export markets.

In a latest, it has appointed a new distributor – Autotechnica Colombiana SAS, in Colombia. Apart from distribution experience Autotechnica is also an assembler and will help TVS set up an assembly plant in Cartagena for assembling its motorcycles in Colombia and probably some other neighboring markets. It will also have a dedicated training center there.

Autotechnica will take care of the sales, service and spares of TVS branded motorcycles in the country. For this, it will set up 50 exclusive TVS outlets and will have dedicated spaces in as many as 600 retails outlets across the nation.

On this occasion, Mr R Dilip, Executive Vice President – International Business at TVS said,

TVS is on an expansion spree and has presence in 60 countries. Though it started exports late, it plans to catch upto its rivals, primarily Bajaj, in the coming years.
