TVS 2Wheeler sales for March 2022 is not good looking YoY… But is all green when seen MoM…
For TVS Motors, the sales numbers are in for the month of March 2022 and it is showing a mix of positive and negative trends.
The company has registered a Gross Sales of 307,397 units in March 2022 against 322,643 units in March 2021. This is a decline of 4.72% in Gross sales YoY.

Year-over-Year
Motorcycles – The motorcycles sold stood at 1,60,522 units in March 2022, a growth of 2.07% compared to 1,57,254 units sold in March 2021.
Scooters – The scooter sales stood at 94,747 units, a drop of % compared to 1,04,513 units sold in March 2021.
Moped – The mopeds registered 37,486 units sold in March 2022. It is a decline of 27.63% compared to 51,797 units sold in the same month of previous year.
This totals to Domestic Sales of 196,956 units for March 2022. A drop of 2.57%% compared to 2,02,155 units registered in March 2021.
The Exports of two-wheelers dropped by 8.09%, declining from 1,19,382 units in March of previous year to 1,09,724 units in March 2022.
Month-over-Month
Motorcycles – Compared to sales of February 2022, the motorcycle sales grew by 11.84%, up from 1,43,523 units.
Scooters – The scooter sales grew MoM by 9.39%, expanding from 86,616 units sold in the previous month.
Mopeds – Following the trend, the mopeds too grew by 0.43%, up from 37,486 units sold previously.
Hence, the Domestic Sales grew by 13.72% MoM.
While the Exports grew by 1.63%, expanding from 94,427 units exported in the previous month.
