Triumph Trident bookings response has been very encouraging for the Brit brand in India. It believes it will penetrate younger biking gentry here…
At one end, Honda unpleasantly surprised everyone by announcing the debut of its naked mid-sizer CB650R at an astronomical price tag of Rs 8.67 Lakh few days back, and at the other, Triumph surprised bikers by introducing its mid-sized roadster, Trident, at a very competitive price tag of Rs 6.95 Lakh.
And this has clearly reflected in the mood of the buyers. Mr Shoeb Farooq, Business Head – Triumph Motorcycles India, revealed that Trident had already received more than 125 plus bookings even before the price announcement.
Trident is Triumph’s most affordable motorcycle in India and the company hopes to ‘open gates for more new age riders‘ into the Brit brands ownership. And the encouraging number of pre-bookings is a testimony to the fact that well-priced, well-specced motorcycles are well received in the market generally.
Shoeb added that the company’s next priority is to open seamless deliveries of the Trident and its dealerships have already prepared to handle the high footfall that is expected along with this model.
With Trident, Triumph is now a 16 motorcycle strong brand in India offering bikes in a lot of segments and sub-segments catering to a lot of different tastes.
