Apart from the Steve McQueen edition based on the Scrambler 1200, Triumph has also introduced another special edition in India – Sandstorm – which is based on the smaller Scrambler 900.
This special edition celebrates Scrambler’s desert rides across popular deserts like El Mirage, Mojave, Baja Peninsula, etc. It comes in a new Matt Storm Grey shade which has Ironstone accents on the tank which give it a tri-tone theme. It also gets a matt storm grey high level front mudguard.
Apart from that it also comes with various accessories pre-fitted like – tail tidy, compact LED tail light with number plate light, aluminum sump guard, headlight grille, protective rubber knee pads, etc.
Only 775 units of the Scrambler Sandstorm will be produced in the world. Every owner will get a certificate of authenticity with the bike’s VIN number.

The Scrambler Sandstorm continues to be powered by the 900cc, twin cylinder engine that produces 65 PS of peak power. Max torque of 80 Nm is available right from as low as 3250 rpm.

Mr Shoeb Farooq, Head at Triumph India, said that special editions have always worked. Basically, they provide the owner with a lot of exclusivity and since both the limited editions are based on their standard models, they deliver on power and performance as well.
