The Beautiful Daytona 660 is Here; Launched at 9.72 Lac

Triumph Daytona 660 price of 9.72 Lakh is higher than its mid-sized rival from Kawasaki but it is a lot more powerful & gets an extra cylinder…

I am sure many of you would have fond memories of the brilliant Daytona 675 which was probably the most exciting mid-sized supersport. That fun and adrenaline is no more but Triumph has developed a new Daytona which is based on the popular 660 platform.

The biggest change here is the fact that from being a manic the motorcycle is now a lot more sober – which means more acceptable and hence a wider usage. And that very Daytona 660 has been launched in India today.

The styling is still pretty impressive and it now becomes the costliest motorcycle on the 660 platform for India. The same 660cc, inline three cylinder powers the midsized Daytona but it churns the highest 95 hp of peak power at 11,250 rpm and 69 Nm of max torque at 8250 rpm. Triumph’s intent is cleared when it specifies that the motorcycle produces impressive ‘low-end torque’ and 80 percent of the max number is available right from 3125 rpm. It is quick to add that the motorcycle redlines at 12,650 rpm.

At a seat height of 810 mm, the Daytona does stand very manageable and now comes with a neutral riding posture – again a trait that it has been toned down. You also get an option to further lower the seat to 785 mm. Triumph also claims that the new 3-into-1 underbelly exhaust churns a nice triple sound.
