The segment has been widened on the basis of buyer requirements and while entry-level mass-market models dominate the sales charts, it still has a few premium e-scooters which are as expensive as a compact hatchback. 1. BMW CE 02
Launched in Oct 2024, BMW CE 02 is the most expensive locally developed electric scooter in the Indian market as it is sold at a staggering price point of Rs 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Though the CE 02 has been developed in Germany by BMW Motorrad, the India-spec model is produced at the Hosur factory of TVS Motor Company in Tamil Nadu.

Some of the notable features onboard the e-scooter are 745 mm seat height, telescopic front forks, BMW Motorrad ABS, adjustable hand levers, front and rear disc brakes, 1.5 kW quick charger, ride modes (Flow, Surf & Flash) and heated grips. BMW CE 02 is powered by dual lithium-ion batteries with total energy content of 3.9 kWh, which return a range of 108 kms (according to ICAT) while clocking a top speed of 95 kmph.
2. Yamaha Aerox E
Recently, Yamaha India launched the Aerox E electric scooter at Rs 2.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) in the country. Unveiled in Nov 2025, it will be available through Yamaha Blue Square Showrooms. Yamaha Aerox E has become the highest priced electric scooter in India by a mainstream brand. Based on the ICE-powered Aerox 155, the high-performance electric scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels while equipped with front and rear disc brakes as standard.

A few standout features include all-LED lighting, traction control system, single-channel ABS, smart key system, reverse mode, and boost mode. The Aerox E comes equipped with two portable batteries of 1.5 kWh each as the maximum IDC range stands at 117 km on a single charge. It has a top speed of 95.5 kmph (With Power + Boost mode).
3. TVS X
The X all-electric scooter was launched in Aug 2023 in the Indian market. Being the brand’s flagship model in the e-scooter segment, it comes loaded with a plethora of bells and whistles in the form of LED headlamp with lean-activated bend lamps, tiltable 10.2-inch TFT instrument cluster, rear monoshock suspension, smart hill hold, and ride modes (Xtealth, Xtride, and Xonic).

Built on the all-new TVS Xleton platform, it is priced at Rs 2.66 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). TVS X houses a 4.4 kWh battery which returns an IDC range of 140 km on a full charge. It can touch a top speed of 105 kmph while doing the 0-40kmph sprint in merely 2.5 seconds.

Priced at Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the range-topping electric scooter in the brand’s portfolio is offered with AtherStack Pro as standard which comprises of several premium features such as Infinite Cruise, Magic Twist, Warp+ Mode, Auto Hold, Fall Safe, Voice on Ather, OTA Updates and Multi-mode Traction Control (Rain, Road & Rally).

The riders can access Google maps, Whatsapp messages and Live cricket scores on the 7-inch TFT touchscreen display. The 450 Apex is available in Indium Blue colour scheme while it is packed with a 3.5 kWh battery pack which returns a range of 165 km on a full charge. The 450 Apex is able to reach a top speed of 100 kmph while doing the 0-40 kmph in just 2.9 secs.
5. Suzuki E-Access
Launched in Jan 2026, Suzuki E-Access is sold at a sticker price of Rs 1.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. The first electric scooter from Suzuki is locally produced at the brand’s factory in Gurgaon, Haryana. Available in four dual-tone colour schemes, it comes with three ride modes (Eco, Ride A, and Ride B), a reverse mode and regenerative braking as standard.

Powered by a 3 kWh fixed Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack, Suzuki e-Access has a range of 95 km on a single charge. The e-Access is sold with an extended warranty of up to 7 years or 80,000 km at no cost. In addition, the company is providing complimentary buy-back assurance of up to 60 percent of the overall value after 3 years.
