Gixxer Dual Tone Spotted at a Dealership; Costs 1500 More

Suzuki’s new found growth spurt in the 150 cc segment is spearheaded by the naked streetfighter Gixxer. While the bike is posting some handsome sales figures, it recently got a faired sibling – Gixxer SF. In order to keep the momentum going for the naked, Suzuki seems to have added new dual tone colour options to make the bike fresher.

A couple of specimens of this dual tone color palette have been spotted by Zigwheels in red and white combination. They do not appear to be a dealership job and we believe there will be some more colors in this new palette! Zigwheels reports that this new dual-tone Gixxer will be about Rs 1,500 costlier than the regular solid colours of the motorcycle, which carries a price tag of Rs 83,402 on-road in Delhi.

The use of highlighting colour has been limited to the tank extender, rear grab rails and a fat racing strip on the fuel tank. The front mud guard is also in the alternate second colour. Apart from a red and white option, an opposite white with red highlights is also available.

The Gixxer mechanically would remain absolute same with the refined 154.9 cc single cylinder SOHC belting out 14.8 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm.

We have seen a lot of Gixxer owners trying to differentiate their rides by adding new paint schemes, stickers etc and this is what Suzuki seems to have answered with this update. Moreover, this is a clear hint that Suzuki has taken a leaf out of Yamaha’s books and we may see them promoting their already-fantastic motorcycle by these minor refreshments every now and then!
