Suzuki to Launch 3 New Bikes

Suzuki Motorcycles India limited (SMIL) has pushed the ‘fire’ button. A few days back they launched the insane power maniacs, the torque laden Bandit and the super sports GSX1000R which goes in conjunction with the already available to us mortals, the almost immortal Hayabusa and Intruder. After covering the higher end of the spectrum, Suzuki has plans to focus on more Indian centric bikes. The automobile manufacturer has decided to enter the highly competitive and equally yielding 100cc segment which is currently dominated by Hero Honda followed by Bajaj.

Currently, Suzuki has the 150cc GS150R commuter motorcycle as its premium offering coupled with the 125cc Zeus in the motorcycle segment and the impressive 125cc Access in the scooter segment. Month on month Suzukis figures are spiraling to newer heights. To propel this growth further, Suzuki has decided to launch three new two wheelers in the coming 18 months. One of them surely will be the 125cc Slingshot, second one would be a 100cc commuter oriented bike while we have no clues about the third product currently. For the same reason, Suzuki has aggressive plans to double their production capacity to cater to the expected growth. Recently Suzuki piped Yamaha in the overall monthly sales figures for the month of May and have higher targets set for the coming months.
