No 150cc, Suzuki Burgman Street Likely to be a 125 cc: Launch Tomorrow

After NTorq, Suzuki Burgman Street launch to bring zest to this segment…

Towards the end of last year we revealed Suzuki’s intentions of bringing to our domestic market a ‘Sporty’ scooter. You can read our report here. And you have the product right in front of you – Suzuki Burgman Street, which was spotted for the first time in India by an Autocar reader.

With this premium scooter specifically for our market, Suzuki will debut the international Burgman brand into our market. Currently Burgman spawns maxi scooters ranging from 125 cc till 600 cc. According to the information our source had shared with us, Burgman Street will be a 125 cc scooter. And hence it may share its engine with the Access.

However, to justify the size and proportions of the Indian Burgman, we expected it to sport a bigger 150 cc engine but we may have to live with the lesser powered motor, for now!

As is the case with the flagship scooter range, Burgman Street is expected to come loaded with features like telescopic shock absorbers, larger tubeless tyres (probably 14 inchers like Aprilia SR150), digital cockpit, mobile charging socket, wide (possibly step) seat and a front visor etc.

Burgman Street Launch

Suzuki will launch the Burgman Street at the Auto Expo 2018 tomorrow. With this, it becomes apparently clear that the company has identified that they will throw swashbuckling models into our market. It became evident when they introduced the massive Intruder 150 cruiser recently and now they are following up with this!
