It looks like most of our cricketers are motorbike lovers. Latest to be seen with one is the ace opening batsman Gautam Gambhir with one of the most desirable bikes in our country – the KTM 390.
Gauti (as he is known among his teammates) was invited by KTM in New Delhi to felicitate KTM riders from across the country who have been busy doing good in the rally circuits over the past one year. During the ceremony Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, MD Bajaj Auto and Mr. Stefan Pierer, CEO KTM presented Gambhir with a brand new special edition KTM Duke 390.
The special edition 390 comes with newer graphics and a few powerparts. The different graphics on the fuel tank reads ‘Duke’ instead of ’390′. Similar changes are also notable on the chassis, rear cowls and on the front shock absorbers. The special edition looked less jarring to the eyes.
If you remember, KTM Bajaj gifted a customized Duke 200 to Shahrukh Khan on his birthday a few months back.
Duke 390 is the biggest revelation of the year and is priced at a shocking Rs. 1.8 lakhs and has proven to be a real money spinner for KTM India. This aggressive pricing continues with the KTM India’s more-bang-for-your buck strategy and is proving to be a success. Up next is the RC series of motorcycles from KTM which are essentially the faired version of the existing Duke 200 and 390. They will be launched towards the first few months of 2014.
