One of the most popular scooter among women, Scooty Pep+ has been introduced in a new edition in India to commemorate its silver jubilee. Yes, first launched in 1996, Scooty has completed 25 years in our market. As a part of the Special Edition, TVS has introduced two new matte colours – Coral Matte and Aqua Matte.
The scooterette also gets few more cosmetic updates which include
- textured seat with the same pattern on front apron and back panel
- 3D emblem on both side panels.
The scooter also houses a mobile charger socket, side stand alarm, square DRLs, open glove box, and the brand’s patented ‘EaZY’ Stand technology that reduces the effort to put the centre stand by 30 per cent. The scooter comes with a fuel tank capacity of 5 litres and kerb weight of just 95 kg.
Apart from the cosmetics, there is no mechanical change to the special edition. Scooty Matte Edition continues with the same 87.8 cc, air-cooled, EcoThrust engine that produces 4.9 PS of power and 5.8 Nm of peak torque. The scooter comes with telescopic suspensions at the front and a single shock at the rear. Braking is accomplished via drum brakes and CBS at either end.
