SCOOP: Mysterious Suzuki Gixer 150cc Spotted in India

In a very interesting development, xbhp.com member Vaibhav Saigal has shared a spyshot of what appears to be a mini Gixer (going by the logo on its air scoops). This mysterious motorcycle was spotted at the Noida expressway and carries a very interesting exhaust design inspired from some bigger motorcycles.

Carefully observing the lone pic we have, this appears to be a 150cc engined mini gixer with naked styling. There is no registration plate nor any camouflage hinting at the possibility of this being a display motorcycle. Did someone say Auto Expo unveiling? We believe so.

Apart from that, we are unsure if that sculpted tank has got a big dent on it or is it a design element. The single non-split seat rises sharply lending the pillion a high seating position.

For the rider, the ride position is pretty much commuter-like but notice the presence of the mono-shock absorber. It runs on front disc brakes and rear are the regular drum brakes. The bike appears to have a nice long wheelbase and the rear tyre appears to be a 110-120 section rubber.

While this is something which comes out of nowhere, we are amazed the usage of the brand ‘Gixer’ on such a commuter-like small capacity bike. Let us not assume and speculate any more but we are left with the following questions:

Is this an all new premium 150cc bike Suzuki is planning to launch in India? If yes, is this a replacement to GS150R the japs have intentions to place it over their most respected motorcycle yet? But if it is a premium motorcycle we expect more power but then the question, why are their no rear disc brakes?

You sit back and analyse the scoop while we go out on a prowl to dig deeper on our questions.
