Royal Enfield’s Eicher Group Pledges 50 Crore Towards COVID-19 Relief

Despite being in the red themselves, auto manufacturers are lending their wholehearted support towards the deadly COVID-19. After Hero, Bajaj, TVS and others, Royal Enfield’s parent group Eicher Motors has announced aid towards the COVID-19 relief.

RE along with family company VE Commercial Vehicles has pledged to spend Rs 50 crores in various efforts to support the Government in fighting during these unprecedented times. The Group will provide food, sanitation products and provisions in several parts of the country. It has also announced sanitation facilities at underprivileged local communities.

Some part of the fund will go towards the distribution of personal protective equipment for medical personnel in Chennai. Employees of the company have contributed towards various Government funds. Eicher Group has also announced contribution towards the PM Care Fund apart from state funds in Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

There are also provisions towards COVID-19 healthcare testing kits. Eicher will also try to help Government organisations in the production of ventilators and other critical medical equipments.

Hero Group Announces 100 Crore Aid for COVID-19 Relief

The company may also increase these spends based on the situation that arises in the coming few months.
