Limited Edition Royal Enfield Despatch Motorcycles Sold Out Within Minutes

Royal Enfield, the oldest motorcycle manufacturer in the world in continuous production, recently announced the prices of their limited edition Despatch motorcycles and the bookings were to open on July 15th. According to Royal Enfield’s Facebook updates, as announced they opened the bookings at around 10 am and at 10:34 am a picture said “Bookings No Longer Available“, which means they were able to exhaust the stock of 200 Limited Edition motorcycles in about 30 minutes.

This has also left a lot of its prospect customers unhappy but a few who were able to book one showed their ecstasy with snapshots of their orders!

Priced at Rs 2.24 Lakhs on road in Mumbai and based on the Classic 500, the Despatch motorcycles are powered by the same 499 cc single cylinder Twinspark mill producing 27.2 bhp of maximum power at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. Only 100 of these motorcycles were to be built (per colour) and each motorcycle will carry a unique embossed hallmark detailing particulars about its manufacture with its unique serial number.

The body carries a unique signature camouflage pattern film transfer technique that, Royal Enfield says, uses a precise hands-on process to transfer the camouflage pattern on the motorcycle’s skin, making each motorcycle to be only one of its kind to ever roll out of the factory.
