You must have seen Rudy (Rudratej Singh, as he was fondly called as) in a lot of Royal Enfield’s events. He presided over a lot of mainstream launches and events for the brand along with Siddharth Lal, the CEO of the brand.

He was last seen at the official big bang launch of RE’s Twins – Continental GT and Interceptor 650. However, all of a sudden Royal Enfield has announced that Rudy has resigned from the company and that too ‘with immediate effect’! There certainly appears to be something which nobody is being told, but let us not try and pass speculations on this front. He will be pursuing opportunities outside Royal Enfield.

Rudy, a dynamic personality, joined Royal Enfield back in January 2015 and was responsible for a plethora of things including branding, marketing, global sales etc. Many of the motorcycles like Thunderbird X, Classic Redditch & Pegasus range were introduced under his leadership. The infamous Himalayan was also launched when he was the company’s president.

Royal Enfield has also made some high level position changes. Lalit Malik, the current Chief Financial Officer at Eicher Motors has been lent with an additional responsibility of Chief Commercial Officer. Among other changes, Vimal Sumbly will be the head of Business Markets for the APAC region.
