Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin Trademarked, Launch Confirmed

The Bullet will soon get its bigger and more powerful 650cc version similar to the other Royal Enfield motorcycles such as Classic and Meteor.

We earlier told you that Royal Enfield is working aggressively on its 650cc portfolio of motorcycles with a slew of new models slated to arrive in the Indian market in the next 12-18 months. Now, it has been learnt that the Chennai-based two-wheeler brand has filed a trademark for ‘Bullet 650 Twin’ moniker in India for its bigger and more powerful version of the Bullet 350. Just so you know, the company presently retails five 650cc motorcycles in the domestic market in the form of Interceptor, Continental GT, Super Meteor, Shotgun and Bear.

Royal Enfield Bullet 650 has been spotted multiple times during its test runs on the Indian roads as well as in foreign countries. So, trademarking the ‘Bullet 650 Twin’ nameplate doesn’t really come as a surprise and we are certain that it will debut this year itself in our country. Royal Enfield could use EICMA 2025 in November as the stage to unveil the new Bullet 650.

The Bullet 650 is believed to be fairly close to the Classic 650 in terms of cycle parts and engine. However, styling will be a major point of difference between the two motorcycles as the bigger Bullet will take cues from the smaller version of the motorcycle, identical to the Classic 650 which is based on the Classic 350. The Bullet 650 is expected to retain a few signature design elements from the Bullet 350 such as single-piece seat, boxy rear fender and hand-painted pinstripes.

Mechanically, the Bullet 650 Twin will be carrying the same tried-and-trusted 648cc parallel-twin petrol engine which generates top power of 46.4 bhp and highest torque of 52.3 Nm. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed transmission. It will also be packed with a two-into-two exhaust pipe, identical to the other Royal Enfield 650cc motorcycles.

In terms of pricing, the Bullet 650 Twin is likely to fall in the same ballpark as the Classic 650 which comes in a range of Rs 3.37-3.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The company could price it even lower as the Bullet nameplate has traditionally been a more practical and popular offering as compared to the Classic.

Meanwhile, in other news, Royal Enfield is also working on even bigger motorcycles with a 750cc engine. Recently, it came to our knowledge that the Continental GT-R 750 will be the first motorcycle from the brand in the 750cc segment with a tentative launch planned before April 2026. So, in all, the coming 12-18 months are going to be quite exciting for Royal Enfield fans with several new motorcycles in the pipeline.
