Is This Royal Enfield Bear 650? Coming Next…

Royal Enfield Bear 650 (expected name) will be a dual cylinder scrambler model from the company based on the roadster Interceptor 650…

Royal Enfield is expanding both the 450 as well as its 650 platforms with new products in each. The Chennai based maker created some noise very recently with the new Guerrilla 450 that was launched last week. Next up it seems the focus turns to the dual cylinder 650 range…

The company has patented the design of a motorcycle very similar to the Interceptor 650 albeit with some interesting changes. First, the handlebar is slightly different and there are upside down forks at the front – which are not available on the Interceptor. Next, we see the side panel has been replaced with a unit that will show some number – typical of scramblers.

The next big change is that single, chunky exhaust – which will be a single unit – unlike Interceptor’s two – one from each cylinder. Which means that this 650 Scrambler from RE may be lighter than the Interceptor. This motorcycle has been snapped testing earlier wearing dual purpose tyres – that will, most likely, round up the changes.

Is Royal Enfield Working on 250cc Bike? Part of a Bigger Game Plan?

There will, obviously, be individual color tones for this new 650 and we may also see some more features on the instrumentation. From the many names Royal Enfield has patented, this scrambler could be called as Bear 650.

Royal Enfield Bear 650 is expected to be launched in the Indian market soon at prices slightly higher than its roadster sibling which is the entry into the company’s 650 portfolio. Considering that the Bear 650 will carry forward the many positives of the Interceptor – along with some additional features, it may add a few more customers to the company’s tally – specially those who like to do wee bit of off-roading.
