Royal Enfield shattered every previous record by selling more than a million motorcycles between Apr 2024 and Mar 2025
Royal Enfield has registered its highest-ever annual sales in FY 2024-25 by retailing over a million motorcycles. The Chennai-based two-wheeler retailed 10,09,900 units in this financial year (Apr 2024 – Mar 2025) as compared to the 9,12,732 units sold during last financial year, thereby recording a YoY growth of 11 percent. As far as the domestic market is concerned, Royal Enfield’s sales grew by 8 percent from 8,34,795 units in FY24 to 9,02,757 units in FY25. The export numbers too witnessed a stellar rise by 37 percent from 77,937 during last year to 1,07,143 units in this fiscal.
Speaking about the performance for the month of March 2025, B Govindarajan, Managing Director, Eicher Motors, and Chief Executive Officer, Royal Enfield said: “This year has been nothing short of extraordinary for Royal Enfield. Crossing the 1 million annual sales milestone, our highest ever, is a testament to how far we’ve come. From a time when 50,000 motorcycles a year felt like a big win to now setting new global benchmarks in the mid-size segment, our journey has been incredible.”

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 contributed generously in this historic feat as it surpassed 5 lakh units sales milestone. Furthermore, the Super Meteor 650 too crossed the 50,000 units sales while it was first launched in Jan 2023 in the Indian market. Royal Enfield was also rated as the most reliable brand in the motorcycle category in the 2025 J.D. Power India two-wheeler initial quality study.
Last year, Royal Enfield also opened its first fully owned CKD assembly plant in Bangkok, Thailand. Spread across 57,000 sq. ft., this factory boasts of an annual production capacity of 30,000 units. It is the company’s sixth such facility globally after Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Bangladesh and Nepal. The motorcycles built at this manufacturing unit will be for Thailand and other APAC countries.

Royal Enfield made inroads in yet another Asian market, the Bangladesh, by inaugurating its manufacturing unit (Category 2) and flagship showroom. Several RE bikes such as Hunter 350, Meteor 350, Classic 350, and Bullet 350 will be locally produced and assembled in Bangladesh.
“On the global front, we’re expanding like never before. The launch of our Thailand Assembly Plant and entry into Bangladesh mark important steps in strengthening our international presence. Our new launches this year, including four game-changing motorcycles and our first step into electric mobility with the Flying Flea, have pushed the boundaries of what’s possible. And as we enter our 125th year, this is just the beginning. The road ahead is filled with new opportunities, and we’re more excited than ever to keep shaping the future of motorcycling,” added B Govindarajan.
