RE Launches First Edition of Himalayan Adventure – Rongbuk

RE Himalayan Adventure Rongbuk ride will cover 1111 kms in 11 days on the company’s lone ADV Himalayan. 11 riders are participating in this expedition…

To resurrect Himalayan as a formidable brand, Royal Enfield is conducting various adventure rides with the motorcycle along with its owners. The latest in the series is the upcoming adventure ride called as Himalayan Adventure – Rongbuk.

The first edition of this ride will traverse three eight thousand meter mountain peaks – Mount Everest, Shishapangma and Cho Oyu (in Tibet) on motorcycles. This is an 11 day ride which started from 8th October and the 11 riders participating in it will cover a total distance of 1,111 km, before it finally culminates on the 19th of October.

All the 11 riders will be riding the Royal Enfield Himalayan which is a fantastic tool for such adventurous rides, minus the issues it has thrown. Flag off is scheduled from Kathmandu and the ride will traverse through Karakoram pass, upper Mustang valley in Nepal, Zanskar region etc. An area close to the Mount Everest Base Camp, called as Rongbuk is the highlight of this expedition. During this ride, the team will spend all its days at altitudes of over 4000 meters, with freezing temperatures, extreme climates and unforgiving terrains.
